About Us
Our Mission
At All She Wrote Books, we think of “intersectional”, “feminist”, and “queer” as more than tokenized buzzwords. Rather, see them as guiding lights for all who seek a safe and supportive space of people who love, respect, and care for each other. We are committed to supporting our neighbors and uplifting the voices that have been silenced for far too long. On our curated shelves, those whose stories have, for centuries, been forcibly rewritten can find themselves.
We know an essential part of our work is encouraging meaningful conversations about race, gender, queerness, and more. We envision our store to be as much a gathering space as it is a place to find your next read.
Our Journey
Founder, Christina Pascucci-Ciampa, started All She Wrote Books in 2019 by partnering with local businesses in Somerville such as the Canopy Room at Bow Market and Winter Hill Brewing Company, asking them if she could bring her 3-shelf, beige Ikea cart of new and used books written by these authors and set herself up in a small section of their stores.
In July of 2020, All She Wrote Books opened its first brick-and-mortar location at Assembly Row in Somerville. In November 2023, after being displaced from their first location, opened its doors in East Somerville on Washington Street, one of the coolest areas in the city.
